The best beaches in the Caribbean can be found in Anguilla. And the best hotel in the Caribbean can be found in the new Viceroy. The place is a rock star: big, glamorous, with vision and chutzpah. Even the light is golden, splashing down on your snow-white ponyhide rugs and the black marble lobby and making everything beautiful. It's California breezy, it's Rat Pack merry on frozen mango martinis, it's Frank Lloyd Wright with beds like pits for bears. Yes, it's bold, but follows through : unbelievably good sea bass with truffles; a bar where a DJ plays deep dub (not Bob Marley!), dreadlocks so long they trail after him like naughty children. Book a villa with four or five bedrooms right on the beach - the hot ticket this year. Kelly Wearstler, the designer, used to be a Playboy Bunny and is now married to the Viceroy boss.
