With 100 beautiful acres of gently swaying palms, well equipped villas and a huge range of facilities, families love this famous resort. The accommodation itself offers a real feeling of ‘home from home’ with excellent amenities and the chance to upgrade to a spacious suite with wonderful bay views. Two sandy beaches are moments away where you can enjoy complimentary watersports. There are excellent children’s programmes and a range of activities to help you build up an appetite which will be rewarded at the resort’s four restaurants.


Location
On a peninsula at Mamora Bay in the south of Antigua, 35 minutes from the airport and St John’s.

Accommodation
251 rooms and suites all with air-conditioning, ceiling fan, cable TV and a balcony or terrace. Club Rooms are comfortably furnished and overlook the gardens whilst the Premium Rooms have partial ocean views. Beachfront Rooms are located close to Coco’s Beach. The spacious Royal Suites offer more contemporary furnishings, a sunken living room with wonderful bay views, his and hers showers and access to an exclusive swimming pool. The Two Bedroom Villas have two air-conditioned bedrooms, a large living area (with sofa bed), fully equipped kitchen and a balcony with views over Mamora Bay. All are within walking distance of one of the beaches.

Facilities
4 restaurants (dinner reservations are required and a supplement applies at Piccolo Mondo), 5 bars, 6 swimming pools and a children’s pool, beachfront games room, complimentary non-motorised watersports, fitness centre, spa and beauty salon, mini-market, internet café and 6 championship tennis courts. The popular Kidz Club is open daily from 10am - 11pm and offers a wide range of daytime and evening activities for children aged 4-11 yrs. There is also an open air Teen Club on the beach at Mamora Bay. Babysitting is available at a local charge.

What you need to know


• St James’s Club is a large resort but with 100 acres for guests to enjoy, it never feels too crowded

• We highly recommend upgrading to a Royal Suite - they’re the newest rooms, have wonderful views and include added benefits, such as dinner two nights a week at Piccolo Mondo

• Interconnecting rooms are limited so we suggest the Two Bedroom Villas for families
