View Larger Map Let one of our specialists create your dream holiday at Fort Young. Call 020 3131 0169 At the edge of a cliff overlooking the Caribbean Sea, Fort Young sits on the original site of a rough wooden fort built by the French in 1720. Just a two minute walk from the centre of Roseau, Dominica’s capital, you’ll be warmly welcomed at this unpretentious hotel, where the emphasis is on good food, comfortable accommodation and providing an ideal location for seeing and experiencing the best of Dominica. Although there’s no beach here, many of the rooms are right on the water and the pool has a lovely area where you can relax and soak up the sun. Location 2 minutes’ walk from the centre of Roseau, the capital, and an hour’s drive from Melville Hall Airport. Accommodation 71 air-conditioned Rooms and Suites with ceiling fans, TV, private balcony or terrace and many with full or partial sea views. Standard Rooms have garden or street views whilst the Fort Rooms have partial sea views and are located in the original fort. We particularly recommend the more spacious and well-equipped Oceanfront Rooms and Suites, located in the newer wing at the base of the cliff with spectacular ocean views. Facilities The Waterfront Restaurant, 2 bars, swimming pool, 3 Jacuzzis, massage and wellness centre, duty free shops and business centre. The hotel’s activities desk can arrange a whole host of excursions for those who would appreciate a guided tour of the island or simply a driver for the day. Whale-watching boat tours, scuba diving, snorkelling, kayaking, bird watching, hiking tours and more are readily available. Alternatively, for the more independent minded traveller, just hire a car and explore the island for yourself. Special Information Children under 12 yrs can be accommodated in Oceanfront or Deluxe Oceanfront Rooms only. Cruise ships are occasionally moored opposite the hotel or at the cruise terminal in Roseau which is located just along the waterfront from Fort Young.

• Fort Young is a charming, informal hotel with a fascinating history - some of the original stone walls date back to 1761 and the hotel takes its name from the island’s first British governor • Enjoy Friday night Happy Hour at the Boardwalk Bar, but watch out for the rum punch - it’s potent! • Located just a short stroll from the centre of Roseau, be sure to explore the Old Market Plaza for souvenirs and local artwork • Join one of the hotel’s excellent Whale and Dolphin Safaris - you’ll have a good chance of spotting some of the many different species that frequent the waters around Dominica
