Set beside a beautiful palm-fringed beach, The Calabash Hotel combines effortless contemporary style with great comfort and luxury. The owners, the Garbutt family, clearly understand the needs of discerning travellers and the resort has a well deserved reputation as a foodie’s paradise. The Rhodes Restaurant (overseen by celebrity chef Gary Rhodes) is truly excellent and offers some of the finest dining on the island. You’ll also be treated to delightful extra touches such as breakfast served on your private patio, evening canapés in your suite and chilled fresh fruit served on the beach.

Location
Set on a sheltered sandy beach at L’Anse aux Epines, 5 miles from St George’s and 10 minutes from the airport.

Accommodation
The hotel consists of 30 Suites in ten two-storey cottages set in a horseshoe with views of the gardens, leading to the beach. Each has air-conditioning, ceiling fan, whirlpool bath, a separate lounge area, flat screen TV, iPod docking station, wireless internet access, mini bar, tea/coffee making facilities and a terrace or balcony. The Pool Suites also boast private plunge pools. The delightful Thorneycroft Suite features a large, open air living room, a marble bathroom with double Jacuzzi bath, a private pool and extended sun terrace.

Facilities
The excellent Rhodes Restaurant and the more casual Beach Restaurant. There is also a bar, swimming pool, fitness room, 2 floodlit tennis courts, snooker room, a PADI dive centre and non-motorised watersports including sailing, kayaking and snorkelling. The Calabash Hotel also offers afternoon tea and a weekly Manager’s Cocktail Party. Heaven & Earth, the lovely waterfront spa, has 3 treatment rooms and a yoga pavilion with wonderful views of the bay.

Special Information
The hotel will be closed between 10 August - 2 October. Children under 13 yrs are not permitted between 15 January - 15 March. Children under 6 yrs are not permitted in the bar and restaurant after 7pm.


Prices / 7 nights from £1,349 per person in low season and £2,399 in high season, based on 2 adults sharing a West Side Suite, including breakfast, return scheduled flights, private transfers and use of a private lounge at Gatwick. (Half Board £46 per day; All-Inclusive £100 per day).
