GoldenEye, Jamaica

Let one of our specialists create your dream holiday at GoldenEye. Call 020 3131 0169

This iconic Jamaican hotel re-opened in 2010 after a major refurbishment and a two year closure. The revitalised GoldenEye is simply stunning and still provides contemporary Jamaican luxury, whilst preserving the romance of its illustrious past. The beautiful 52-acre estate incorporates a pristine stretch of coast, secluded beaches, extensive tropical gardens and the calm waters of a natural lagoon.

Location
In the village of Oracabessa Bay on the north coast, 1 hour and 45 minutes from Montego Bay Airport or 25 minutes by helicopter.

Accommodation
9 bright and airy Beach Cottages, 6 secluded Lagoon Suites and 2 Lagoon Cottages; or stay in one of the original villas. The Beach Cottages are all unique and have either one or two bedrooms, designed in a contemporary Caribbean style. Each has ample living space and features air-conditioning, a king size bed, flat screen TV, Logitech sound system, wireless internet access and a modern kitchen. The beautiful Lagoon Suites extend out over GoldenEye’s lagoon and have large, shaded verandahs offering direct access to the water. There are also two original Villas, each featuring a private outside bath or shower. For larger groups or wedding parties we highly recommend the Fleming Villa, which consists of Ian Fleming’s original three bedroom home, two one bedroom guest cottages, a private swimming pool and a sunken garden with outdoor dining area and access to an exclusive private beach.

Facilities
The food at GoldenEye is fabulous. It’s simple, home-cooked and fresh and can be enjoyed in two wonderful restaurants. The Bizot Bar is located steps from the beach and swimming pool; it serves breakfast, lunch, snacks and inventive cocktails. The Gazebo features an all-day lounge and a restaurant serving dinner only; its west-facing view is the ideal setting to take in the fiery Caribbean sunsets. You’ll be able to indulge in almost any water-based activity you can think of at GoldenEye and, if you fancy experiencing something different, try one of the classes in moon yoga, Jamaican dance, coral restoration or star gazing. A range of relaxing beauty and body therapies using locally grown herbs and flowers is also available at the lagoon-side spa.
