Perched on the cliffs at Negril, The Caves’ individually designed cottages feature an eclectic selection of local Jamaican artwork and offer an ultra-cool, adult only retreat. For a truly romantic setting and total seclusion, this could be your ideal resort.
Location
On the westernmost tip of Jamaica in Negril, close to the resort's historic lighthouse, and just an hour's drive from Montego Bay.
Accommodation
The two acres of lush clifftop gardens provide the perfect hideaway for the 12 hand-crafted thatched cottages. You can choose between delightful rooms or suites, most with ocean views and all exuding an artist's touch in their rich décor, with louvred windows, handcrafted wood and wicker furnishings and unique artwork. The four bedroom luxury Clandestino Villa is set in half an acre of naturally landscaped gardens, and is perfect for families or large groups, with a fully equipped kitchen, oversized living and dining area, large office/study and a private pool with gazebo and outside bamboo shower.
Facilities
The snorkelling amongst the caves, grottoes and reefs is excellent. As well as an excellent Aveda Spa, a saltwater pool and hot tub, you can look forward to superb cuisine served in the main gazebo, from authentic Jamaican 'jerk' barbecues to magnificent 5-course dinners. Or, for the ultimate romantic experience, let the friendly staff serve you an intimate candlelit dinner in one of the caves. For after dinner drinks or cocktails, head to the Blackwell Rum Bar, created from two of the many limestone grottoes and furnished with cut stone tables and benches built by local stone masons.

The Island Outpost group supports a wide range of community and environmental projects. The hotels are also actively involved in growing their own food, with much of their produce coming from the Island Outpost organic farm at Pantrepant.
