Let one of our specialists create your dream holiday at Nisbet Plantation. Call 020 3131 0169

Once the home of Admiral Nelson’s wife, Fanny Nisbet, this charming property was originally built as a sugar plantation in 1778 and it remains the Caribbean’s only original plantation house to be located on a beach. Much of the grandeur and colonial charm remains and, naturally, there’s a croquet lawn to complete the picture of colonial good living. There are many other excellent facilities and you’ll certainly enjoy high standards of service, accommodation and cuisine.

Location
Set amidst coconut palms and lawns leading down to the white sand beach, just a few minutes’ drive from Nevis airport or accessed by private water taxi from St Kitts.

Accommodation
36 beautifully furnished, air-conditioned plantation-style rooms set in cottages throughout the grounds. All have a ceiling fan, tea/coffee making facilities, mini bar, complimentary internet access and a private balcony or terrace. Superior Rooms and Deluxe Garden Suites are located in semi-detached, single-storey cottages in the gardens; the Deluxe Garden Suites have a separate sitting room with sofa bed. The more spacious Premier and Deluxe Junior Suites are located in two-storey buildings closer to the beach with beautiful ocean views; Deluxe Junior Suites are on the ground floor whilst the Premier Junior Suites are located on the upper floor.

Facilities
The original Great House is home to the cocktail bar, lounge and gourmet restaurant, where dinner is served each evening; it is furnished with original antiques and retains a delightful colonial ambience. Breakfast is served at Coconuts overlooking the pool and lunch at the Sea Breeze Restaurant on the beach. There is a swimming pool with hot tub, fitness centre, tennis court, bicycle rental, watersports including windsurfing, snorkelling and kayaks and the excellent Palms Spa.

Special Information
The hotel will be closed between 11 August - 4 October. Children under 5 yrs can be accommodated in Deluxe Garden Suites only. The beach at Nisbet is delightful but can be exposed to occasional strong winds.

Prices / 7 nights from £1,789 per person in low season and £2,710 in high season, based on 2 adults sharing a Superior Room on Half Board, including return scheduled flights to St Kitts, water taxi transfers to Nevis and use of a private lounge at Gatwick.
