View Larger Map As you fly across the sparkling turquoise waters and first catch a glimpse of this magical cluster of 32 lush green islands, you’ll know you are in for a very special holiday. With beautiful secluded beaches, unspoilt rainforests and fabulous resorts, St Vincent & The Grenadines is a truly romantic Caribbean paradise. The clear warm waters provide superb conditions for sailing and watersports, but you’ll also find glamorous resorts, colourful markets and wonderful restaurants. Everything, in fact, that you could need for the Caribbean holiday you’ve always dreamed of. Out and About With 32 islands to explore the options are endless. Here are some suggested activities on just a few of them: St Vincent • Market day (Friday & Saturday) is great fun. • Visit the Botanical Gardens, the beautiful Mesopotamia Valley, the Petroglyphs and rock carvings at Layou. • Tour St George’s Cathedral. • Take a boat or hiking expedition to the dramatic Falls of Baleine. Bequia • Visit Brother King and his amazing turtle sanctuary at Park Beach. • Tour the bizarre resident community of Moon Hole – something like the set of The Flintstones. Tobago Cays • Dive or snorkel with turtles on Horseshoe Reef. • Enjoy some of the best sailing waters in the Caribbean. Food and Drink With such fertile land, avocado, mango, sugar apples, sapodilla and Bequia Plum all abound. Spices such as cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, aniseed and ginger also thrive and are grown for export. Do try the national dish of breadfruit served with fried Jack fish. You’ll find the general quality of cuisine on the islands is extremely high, especially at the resorts. For dining out, we can recommend L’Auberge des Grenadines on the waterfront at Admiralty Bay in Bequia, Basil’s Bar and Firefly on Mustique or The Sapodilla Room at Grenadine House in St Vincent for elegant fine dining and wonderful views over Kingstown. Getting There The most convenient route is via Barbados with onward connections with LIAT from Barbados to St Vincent and Canouan or with Grenadines Airways shared or private charters to Bequia, Mustique and Union Island. Flying time is approximately 40 minutes. SVG Air also operate daily shared or private charter flights from Saint Lucia’s Hewanorra International Airport to St Vincent, Canouan, Bequia and Union Island. Note: All our inclusive holiday prices are based on British Airways World Traveller or Virgin Atlantic Economy flights to Barbados with onward Grenadines Airways shared charter or LIAT scheduled flight connections.
