With over a mile of stunning white sand beach right on your doorstep, you could be forgiven for spending most of your time here just soaking up the sun. But take to the water and you’ll find a fantastic range of watersports available, including thrilling speedboat or catamaran rides to nearby islands. Yacht charters are also available, making this the perfect base for sailing enthusiasts. The hotel itself has been stylishly renovated whilst preserving all of its rustic charm.
Location
On the island of Canouan, a 40 minute flight from Barbados or 30 minutes from Saint Lucia.
Accommodation
40 charming, air-conditioned rooms and suites, all with ceiling fan, TV, mini bar, complimentary wireless internet access and either a balcony overlooking the ocean or a beachfront terrace. The furnishings are understated with Brazilian walnut wood panelling and Frette linen. Beachfront Rooms are located on the ground or upper floor, with the ground floor rooms opening directly onto the beach. The Beachfront Suites are on the upper floor, each with a sitting room and a large oceanfront balcony.
Facilities
There are 2 restaurants – Pirate Cove, an informal snack bar, and The Palapa, a delightful open terrace at the water’s edge, offering à la carte breakfast, lunch and dinner, including fresh catch of the day and fine wines. There is also a beach bar offering an amazing choice of home made ice creams. Massage treatments are available and complimentary non-motorised watersports include windsurfing, snorkelling and kayaks. Day sails and trips by speedboat or catamaran to nearby islands can be arranged locally and the 18-hole Grenadines Estate Golf Club is just a few minutes’ drive away.
