Young Island offers a wonderfully laid back Caribbean escape. Set on its own private island you’ll feel a million miles away from the real world. But when you’ve had time to relax and rejuvenate and are ready to start exploring, the mainland of St Vincent is just a short boat ride away. On Young Island you’ll enjoy rustic and comfortable cottage accommodation, fabulous meals and an excellent range of complimentary watersports.


Location
200 metres off-shore from St Vincent. Accessed by a 40 minute flight from Barbados to St Vincent, followed by a short drive to pick up the hotel launch to Young Island, 3 minutes away.

Accommodation
29 Superior and Deluxe Rooms or Luxury Suites in wood-framed cottages with ceiling fan and terrace. Superior Cottages are at beach level or on the lower slopes of the hillside and most are air-conditioned. Deluxe Cottages are further up the hill and the most spacious Luxury Suites, all with air-conditioning and private plunge pool, are either on the hilltop with truly spectacular views from their huge verandahs or located by the beach. The One Bedroom Duvernette Suite is on the hilltop and has a kitchen and private plunge pool. Most of the ensuite bathrooms have an open air shower.

Facilities
There is a delightful bar and restaurant with excellent cuisine and private gazebos for each couple or family – breads are a speciality with six delicious varieties served at every meal. There is also a swimming pool, tennis court and complimentary non-motorised watersports including sailing, windsurfing, snorkelling, kayaks and pedal boats. Scuba diving can be arranged with a number of dive operators on the mainland. The Spa Kalina sits amongst the tropical foliage on the hillside and offers a selection of pampering treatments.

Special Information
Guests with walking difficulties are advised to choose accommodation closer to the beach. Noise can occasionally be heard from the mainland in the evenings.
