This impressive resort, which re-opened in 2011, has been thoughtfully designed to incorporate the natural beauty that so captivated the first Spanish explorers to reach Tobago, who gave the island her original name of ‘La Magdalena’. Situated within the 750-acre Tobago Plantations Estate, the hotel offers beautifully appointed rooms, all with ocean views.

178 air-conditioned, ocean facing rooms, including 22 One and Two Bedroom Suites with private Jacuzzi. All rooms have a large private terrace or balcony and come equipped with a flat screen TV, complimentary wireless internet access, a mini fridge and a spacious marble bathroom with both shower and bath. We particularly recommend upgrading to a Deluxe Oceanfront Room which offers spectacular panoramic ocean views.
Facilities
Pembois is the main buffet restaurant, offering all-day dining with live cooking stations. The Kali’na fine dining restaurant specialises in cutting-edge Caribbean fusion cuisine, while Salaka is an al fresco, poolside affair serving up gourmet pizzas and delicious grilled seafood. There is also a snack bar, a pastry shop and café and 3 bars, including a swim-up pool bar. Other facilities include 3 swimming pools (one for adults only), Tobago’s only 5 star PADI dive centre, an 18-hole championship golf course, tennis courts, spa, fitness centre and a kids’ club for children aged 4-12 yrs. The resort also provides a complimentary shuttle service to Pigeon Point nature reserve and beach, and offers outdoor activities including birdwatching, hiking and bicycle hire.

The hotel is on Tobago's Atlantic coast and strong breezes sometimes cause the sea to be rough and unsuitable for swimming.
