As you arrive at this exclusive private island by motor launch, you’ll immediately realise that you have reached a very special place. The island’s 1,000 unspoiled acres are rich in wildlife and fringed by a mile long stretch of powder white sand. The Asian-inspired COMO Shambhala Retreat is one of the very best spas in the Caribbean and, along with the exquisite cuisine, makes Parrot Cay a place to come and be pampered from sun-up to sun-down.

Location
35 minutes by private motor launch from Providenciales. The hotel’s jetty is a 15 minute drive from the airport.


Accommodation
The 65 Rooms, Suites and Villas are dotted around the island. Décor is a simple and soothing blend of white muslin, teakwood flooring and four poster beds whilst the facilities include a spacious terrace, TV, CD/DVD player, tea/coffee maker and delightful bathrooms with separate bath and shower. The Rooms and Suites are set back from the beach with views of the gardens and the ocean beyond. The spacious and stunning Beach Villas and Beach Houses are located on the beach itself with a large terrace offering the ultimate in privacy and escapism. One Bedroom Villas and Beach Houses feature a private plunge pool whilst Two and Three Bedroom Villas have a large private pool and butler service.

Facilities
The Lotus poolside restaurant offers Asian and Caribbean-inspired cuisine and the Terrace serves a combination of Mediterranean flavours. Other facilities include the Terrace Bar and Pool Bar, an oceanfront infinity pool, an excellent fitness centre, tennis courts and complimentary non-motorised watersports including sailing, windsurfing, kayaking, paddleboarding and snorkelling. Scuba diving, bone fishing and boat trips can also be arranged. The world-class COMO Shambhala Spa features 9 treatment rooms, relaxation areas, an outdoor Jacuzzi garden and Japanese baths. The wide range of Asian-inspired therapies includes massages, holistic treatments and Ayurvedic therapies. Complimentary daily yoga and Pilates classes and occasional yoga retreats are an added attraction.
