Our history
When we first started offering holidays to the Caribbean in 1979 with just a handful of small hotels in Jamaica we wanted to share our passion for the region with like minded people and ensure that through our excellent service, others would get to experience the very best of what the area has to offer.
Now, 28 years later our company has grown considerably and we offer 20 island countries and more than 100 hotels to choose from but our values have always remained the same. Caribtours is a family owned business and we are proud of our independence. Our small and friendly team share a passion for the Caribbean and we are only too happy to share this with you to help you select the very best Caribbean Escapes for you and your family. We aim not just to match, but to exceed the expectations of our clients through our friendly, efficient service and in-depth destination knowledge.

First-hand knowledge at your fingertips
We take pride in using our considerable experience and first-hand knowledge of each of our 109 hotels, resorts and inns throughout the Caribbean. Between us, one of us has stayed in or visited every hotel in our brochure in the last 12 months – we will give you an honest view about any particular resort’s suitability (or lack of suitability) for your individual needs. With our exclusive focus on the Caribbean, we can arrange a simple, stay-put holiday on the beach or a tailor-made, island hopping itinerary. We can lead you to the perfect romantic escape or create a unique wedding.
Flexibility to tailor-make your holiday
As a specialist, we offer our customers total flexibility. We can arrange a simple stay-put holiday on the beach for any duration or a tailor-made, island-hopping itinerary - if you want to use your frequent flyer miles, we will be happy to book your hotel stay only and leave the rest to you. We are Preferred Partners with both British Airways and Virgin Atlantic and have worked with Air Jamaica for the last 28 years. Between them, our airline partners offer frequent services to the Caribbean. We also include free domestic flights from a selection of UK airports for those flying transatlantic with British Airways.
Caribtours’ service
You will be assigned with your own personal Travel Adviser from the moment you first contact us for a quotation. They will take care of your holiday arrangements throughout and be available to assist with any queries; your Travel Adviser will call on their colleagues’ knowledge too to ensure you receive the most accurate and useful advice. Your travel documents will be sent out to you, in a practical travel wallet, two weeks prior to your travel date. In addition to your selected flights and/or accommodation, your Caribtours holiday will include private air-condtioned car transfers in resort and complimentary access to one of the executive lounges at Gatwick or Heathrow.
Financial Protection
Full financial protection is offered when you book a Caribtours holiday through our bonds with the government's Civil Aviation Authority (ATOL 2674), and with the government's approved ABTA Trust Bond (V6665). We are also members of the Association of Independent Tour Operators, an organisation representing some of the best specialist tour operators in the country.

The Rockhouse Foundation
For every holiday Caribtours sells, we will make a donation of £1 on your behalf to support the invaluable work done by the Rockhouse Foundation - every penny supports young Jamaicans in need.
The Rockhouse Foundation is dedicated to helping vulnerable children in Jamaica by supporting local education. They make make a real difference to the lives of those less fortunate families.
The summer of 2006 was the third year of work at the Negril All Age School and Pre School – a once dilapidated, overcrowded school serving the Negril community. More classrooms are being constructed together with expanded library, and new playgrounds. The Foundation’s goal is to undertake one major building project each year, investing in the transformation of a school.
The projects supported by the Foundation immeasurably improve the lives of children who need and deserve the same opportunities as children in the UK. |
