For many of us, our idea of a good holiday is the opportunity to do nothing more strenuous than decide whether to go for the grilled lobster or red snapper for dinner. For those who want something more energetic, The BodyHoliday at LeSPORT in Saint Lucia and Half Moon or Swept Away in Jamaica offer comprehensive sporting and spa facilities over and above anything else in the region.

Snorkelling Wherever you stay in the Caribbean, you should be able to enjoy snorkelling, whether it's from your own resort's beach or a boat trip to a deserted cove.
We particularly recommend the British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Saint Lucia (the south especially), The Grenadines, Bahamas and Tobago. Hotels which offer good snorkelling from their own beach include:
Scuba Diving Parts of the Caribbean and Bermuda offer spectacular diving, some more testing than others. Instruction is available at all our dive resorts – and if your children are aged 12 yrs or over, they can learn to dive too (or experience diving between the ages of 8-12 yrs with the PADI Bubblemaker Course). Our top recommendations for scuba-diving are:
Sailing Most of our resorts offer sunfish, hobie cats and windsurfers; if you are a more experienced sailor, we recommend one of our luxurious crewed yacht charters in the Grenadines or BVI (we do not offer bareboat charters). East Winds Inn, St Lucia, Young Island in the Grenadines and Biras Creek in the BVI all offer ‘Sailaways’, giving you the opportunity to experience life on board a luxury crewed yacht for a few nights as part of your holiday. |
