Additionally, we are pleased to offer day or overnight trips to the Asa Wright Nature Centre in Trinidad, where guests can take guided walks around the estate to view the astonishing range of colourful birds. You may also take a visit to the Caroni Bird Sanctuary to view the spectacular flight of the Scarlet Ibis.
Located in the rich tropical northern ridge of Trinidad, the Asa Wright Nature Centre was established 32 years ago after years as a coffee, citrus and cocoa plantation; it is managed by volunteers with expert local guides and appeals to nature lovers through to some of the world's most renowned ornithologists. The rooms are simple, but clean, comfortable and fan-cooled with a private verandah and en suite shower room. Food is wholesome, tasty and plentiful and served buffet-style with communal tables. To make the most of your stay, do take binoculars, a warm top and good walking shoes.
An overnight trip includes return flights from Tobago, transportation, accommodation at the centre with meals and guided walks and prices start from £230 per person (price varies according to date of travel).
