After a six-year closure that left many past guests feeling bereft, this very special resort is back in business. At 1,800 acres this is the largest private island in the BVIs, encircled by five beautiful beaches, and the resort has been completely reimagined, with new accommodation and new facilities. Rest assured, however, that the spirit of the old peter island is alive and well, and this is once again one of the finest places in the Caribbean to kick back and enjoy.

Almost all of the 52 rooms, suites and villas are now located on the beachfront, with a warm and contemporary palette that really lets those sea views sing. Choose between Beachfront Rooms (some of which have a private outdoor hot tub), spacious Junior Suites or expansive villas. Old hands will remember the three-bedroom Hawk’s Nest and six-bedroom Falcon’s Nest villas, but the two-bedroom villas are a welcome new addition. Your accommodation comes with all the high-end amenities that you would expect, including complimentary WiFi throughout.

Restaurants And Bars

Situated at the new Yacht Club, the Drunken Pelican restaurant and bar is inspired by the spirit of J’Ouvert, the celebration that marks the start of carnival across many of the Caribbean islands. Here you can enjoy casual poolside dining, along with bocce and pickleball courts. Peter Islands other restaurant, The Drake Steakhouse, is the resorts new beachfront fine dining restaurant and combines classic American steakhouse vibes with a Caribbean twist. Sip cocktails poolside or enjoy a wine tasting at the new Wine Tasting bar in The Lodge.

Facilities

The 10,000-square-foot spa houses seven treatment rooms, a mani-pedi salon, a raised infinity pool, an oceanfront Jacuzzi, a tranquil meditation garden, steam rooms, and a fitness centre. Enjoy the resorts non motorised watersports, beachfront infinity pool, beach cabanas with butler service, and the five pristine beaches to explore. The surrounding waters are ideal for snorkelling and diving, and there are all sorts of yachting adventures to be had through the resorts full service marina and Yacht Club. End the day with a toast at the resort’s Sunset Loop.
