Fiona's View

OUR Costa Rica SPECIALIST

Roberto and Luz Caceres have owned Pacuare Lodge for over 20 years and have created a truly stunning hideaway - this is one of the most special places that we have experienced on our travels.

The back-to-nature ethos means there’s limited electricity in the suites, with candles and lanterns used for lighting - it is super romantic, but we suggest packing a torch for getting around after dark.

With mosquito netting replacing glass panes in the windows here, you are completely immersed in your tropical surroundings - the soothing sounds of jungle critters and the rushing river will lull you into a blissful sleep every night.

Arriving here by raft makes you feel like a real adventurer - it’s a lot of fun and the highly experienced river guides take great care of any nervous first-time paddlers.
