Perched on a clifftop in Akrotiri village on the north coast, 15 minutes’ drive from the airport.

Accommodation

55 suites and 10 villas are fitted out in warm, soothing tones, creating a tastefully modern take on traditional Zakynthian architecture. All accommodation includes a private balcony or terrace, most with a sea view, plus an LCD satellite TV, WiFi, iPod docking station with Bluetooth, air conditioning, tea/coffee making facilities, mini bar and in-room safe. Bathrooms have separate bathtub and rain shower, and it’s well worth upgrading for a suite with an outdoor hot tub or private pool. Interconnecting family suites are available, giving you double the space, while the one, two and three bedroom villas all have a private pool, fully equipped kitchen, al fresco dining area and outdoor whirlpool.

Greek culinary traditions are honoured across the hotel’s drinking and dining venues, from the Ionian seafood dishes of the Novita Restaurant and Bar to the artfully presented tasting menu at Fiore Fine Dining. Fresh produce from the hotel’s own garden is the star at Bostani Farm to Table, and Elea showcases artisan cuisine from across the Mediterranean. There is also a wine cellar where you can enjoy tours and tastings, a lobby lounge, pool bar, beach bar, coffee house and cigar room, plus Greek cookery classes if you want to add a few new recipes to your repertoire

The eye is immediately drawn to the three outdoor infinity pools, each cascading down into the next. There is also a small private sand and pebble beach, accessible via a staircase cut into the cliffs. Armonia Wellness & Spa is a serene sanctuary with an indoor pool, hammam, sauna, three treatment rooms, indoor Jacuzzi and fitness centre. The Kids’ Club includes an outdoor playground and offers a varied programme of activities for younger guests, with babysitting services available
