Connecting with the natural surroundings, 136 spacious villas and residences are scattered over the mainland and the resort’s own private island, Île aux Chats. Featuring natural woods, volcanic stone and contemporary décor, the spacious pool villas differ only in outlook and position. Garden and Mangrove Pool Villas have views of the lush tropical vegetation or natural mangroves, while Ocean and Beach Villas have either panoramic ocean/lagoon views or are beachfront. Each spacious villa has a private terrace with plunge pool, generous bathroom with deep soaking bath, indoor rain shower and outdoor waterfall shower, flat screen satellite TV, DVD player, iPod docking station and complimentary WiFi. The beautiful Sanctuary Ocean and Beach Villas, located on the resort’s private island, additionally feature a separate living room with sliding glass doors opening onto a larger pool. The Presidential Suite Sanctuary has three bedrooms, an outdoor dining area, swimming pool, separate living room, kitchen and panoramic ocean and lagoon views. The residences range from two to five bedrooms and include the Deluxe, Premium Deluxe, Grand and Royal Residences; all feature indoor and outdoor living areas and a full kitchen and dining room, so are ideal for larger parties and families.

Four restaurants and bars will tempt your taste buds with delicious dishes and we particularly like the Italian specialities at Acquapazza, with its terrace overlooking the lagoon, and the Indian, Asian and Mauritian cuisine at Bambou. Beau Champ’s picturesque location, on the water’s edge, open kitchen showcasing grills and steaks cooked to perfection and wine cellar of over 400 bottles, make it a must for a romantic meal, and afterwards head to O-Bar for a cool cocktail or two.

Golf enthusiasts will be tempted by the Ernie Els designed 18-hole championship course, with complimentary unlimited green fees and daily 1-hour golf clinics for beginners. There’s also extensive children’s activities in the Kids for All Seasons Club (4-9 yrs) and the Karokan Young Adults Centre (10 yrs and up).
