In our 28 years of specialising in luxury holidays to the Caribbean, Caribtours has had the pleasure of organising a wonderful range of honeymoons and weddings, each one personalised to suit the couple – in fact, some of those couples are now travelling with us together with their children.
Every holiday is important but your wedding and honeymoon are truly special and we take enormous care to ensure that every single detail is attended to so that you can both relax and enjoy your special time together.
One Travel Counsellor will look after your arrangements from start to finish. Between us, the team here at Caribtours knows all of our resorts intimately.
Getting Married and Renewing Your Vows The Caribbean offers an almost bewildering choice of venues for the ceremony itself – by choosing a specialist to organise your wedding, you can be assured that we can match your dreams to the right location so please talk to us on 020 7751 0660 – this is a complimentary service.
The Venue Together with you, we will consider the best island and resort to suit you and then whether you want a ceremony on the beach, something more colonial or perhaps a tropical garden or rainforest. We will take into consideration whether you are going to be alone or accompanied by friends and/or family; if it's the latter, you might prefer to go off to a different resort after the ceremony itself for your honeymoon. If you would like to take over an entire resort for a wedding party with friends and family, we highly recommend Petit Bacaye (Grenada), Laluna (Grenada) and Kamalame Cay (Bahamas).
The Legal Requirements We will make every effort to ensure that all runs smoothly but would advise you that the pace of life in the Caribbean is much slower, so a certain amount of patience should be shown with regard to the legal procedures.
You must apply for your marriage licence in person, so you will usually need to arrive on your chosen island at least 3 days before your wedding – every assistance will be given to you by our local representative or your hotel's wedding co-ordinator.
You will need to take your passports, original birth certificates and, if divorced or widowed, the decree absolute or death certificate as appropriate.
The Ceremony Caribtours offer a number of wedding packages, some of which are free of charge. If you are concerned that you might be one of a conveyor belt of couples on your big day, please be reassured that none of the resorts selected by Caribtours offers this style of ceremony and in fact many of them will only organise one wedding per day.
We offer complimentary weddings at the following resorts (some restrictions may apply):
