Four Seasons Resort Seychelles is home to breathtaking landscapes like nothing else on Earth. Petite Anse bay rises up from the beach to the mountains to create a natural amphitheatre. The huge boulders, undulating jungle-clad hills and coral-lined coast builds up this dramatic scenery that captures all that is beautiful about the Seychelles; the oldest granitic islands in the world.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder when you look out from every part of the 172-acre resort, but for something extraordinary, you can be taken to new heights. Capture a moment of your holiday without using your camera and book yourself on to this exclusive art class.
The class will first take you on a gentle 20-minute hike up the mountainside, through coconut groves and cinnamon trees, to a granite plateau high above the resort. The spot where the art class takes place is unique, in that it is the only place to view the whole of Petite Anse bay; known to be a microcosm of the Seychelles with its azure waters, white sandy beach, dramatic granite rocks and jungle-clad hillside.
When you reach this perfect spot you will be met by Nigel Henri, your teacher for the day,a local artist who grew up amongst this diverse landscape, and whose work reflects the wondrous natural surroundings.
Nigel will guide you through the steps of sketching you own impression of the landscape as you create your own version of this picture postcard setting.
Spend the afternoon with him, learning new techniques, or perfecting your own style, before taking in a spectacular sunset. Afterwards, opt to keep your work as it is, or allow Nigel to complete the work for you. Your work of art will be scanned to create your own personalised postcards. What better way to remember the holiday of a lifetime, than to have a reminder hanging on your wall for all to see?
