Worked in the travel industry
My favourite destination that I have travelled to from our collection to date is Barbados, with Saint Lucia having a special place in my heart as my husband proposed to me there with views of the magnificent Pitons. I love the Greek Islands and Spain too – there are too many amazing places to choose just one – I would love to visit all of our fantastic destinations!
What was your most memorable trip abroad?
My most memorable, and by far the longest, was my 6 month trip to South East Asia, Australia, New Zealand and South America (before settling down!). It was amazing to not only experience so many different cultures and amazing scenery, but also meet so many fantastic people along the way, including fellow travellers and locals who were always interested to hear about us. Although I always knew I loved travel and had worked in the travel industry previously, it definitely confirmed that it was really the only industry I wanted to be in when I returned.
Where are you planning on going for your next holiday?
I am planning a family holiday to Barbados and can’t wait to visit more of the Island and meet the locals, and of course stay in one of our luxurious family friendly resorts from our collection. It will be great to share the experience with our girls who haven’t yet been to the Caribbean.
Top travel tip
Make sure you visit places that the locals frequent on your holiday – you are bound to get more of a local experience and have a great time!
What one thing couldn’t you go on holiday without
Frizz ease hair serum for me – nobody wants frizzy hair on holiday!
What destination is next on your bucket list
After Barbados, I would love our girls to experience somewhere in the Indian Ocean. I think they would love the gorgeous calm waters of the Maldives and would really love cycling in the Seychelles. There are also some short hops next on the list too, including stunning Santorini, though this may have to be a romantic trip saved for a special occasion.
Outside of work, being a wife and mum to two girls takes up a lot of my time, but I have trying to take some time out for myself to refresh my Spanish and practice piano which I learnt many years ago – there are some great apps now to help. I also love to sing and you will always find me up for Karaoke after a few drinks!
Anything champagne or gin based
What is the best thing about your job?
Working with people that all share your passion for travel. It really makes working so much easier and feels a lot less like work when you are communicating about amazing destinations, hotels and experiences.
If you won the lottery tomorrow, what would you do with the money?
Work through my bucket list of travel destinations with my family and friends
