At Caribtours we are all delighted that the Caribbean as a destination has managed the current pandemic so well and, that so many of our destinations are open for business and have been accepting visitors with a warm welcome.
For travel to some destinations, it has been necessary for the destinations to temporarily introduce some new entry protocols for UK Visitors. These vary by destination, your travel adviser can give you the very latest information at time of booking. We are working closely with tourist boards, hotels and airlines to gather and collate the information as it's changing all the time, so we will also send you updates on what you need to know and any testing requirements along with your Caribtours travel documents.
For example, all travellers to Barbados must take a Covid-19 test 72 hours before departing the UK for Barbados and provide proof of the negative results, plus some additional testing and monitoring in Barbados - which is also dependent on whether you have been fully vaccinated. We will clarify all this process for you in plenty of time before your departure date. Whether you have been vaccinated may then determine whether you need to take an additional test locally in your destination. In many cases, a pre-departure authorisation or an app can be downloaded to provide both information, guidance and authorisation to travel. Travellers to Barbados will also need to download an app to assist with their travel and coronavirus information, more information is here. We will provide all the latest information and guidance for your holiday with your documentation.
In addition, when travelling back to England, Scotland, or Wales from abroad, including UK nationals returning home, you must provide complete the passenger location form and give evidence of a negative COVID-19 test result taken up to 3 days before departure. If you do not comply (and you do not have a valid exemption) your airline or carrier may refuse you boarding and/or you may be fined on arrival. We can assist with more information on the provision of testing in your chosen destination.
As per the 'traffic light' system introduced, depending on where you are returning from, there is an requirement for an addition test on day two for all and subsequent tests and and self-isolation maybe required for 'Amber' destinations.
Covid has meant many changes for all of us over these last 12 months and we are just happy that many of our guests can still travel and look forward to their holidays later this year.
For those of us who love travel, these new restrictions will be a way of life for a little while until life returns to normal.
Welcome to Our Beautiful World. We look forward to sharing it with you.
