Dear Friends
At Caribtours we are all delighted that the Caribbean as a destination has managed the current pandemic so well and, that so many of our destinations are open for business and have been accepting visitors with a warm welcome.
Because the UK is now considered to be a high-risk country, it has been necessary for the destinations to temporarily introduce some new entry protocols for UK Visitors. These vary by destination, your travel adviser can give you the very latest information at time of booking. We are working closely with tourist boards, hotels and airlines to gather and collate the information as it's changing all the time, so we will also send you updates on what you need to know and any testing requirements along with your Caribtours travel documents.
For example, all travellers to Barbados must take a Covid-19 test 72 hours before departing the UK for Barbados and provide proof of the negative results, we will clarify all this process for you in plenty of time before your departure date. Travellers will then be asked to take a second Covid 19 test after their arrival in Barbados, within 5 days after the first negative test result was done (in the UK). You will need to remain in your room/hotel until your second test has been returned, we can assist you with booking tests in advance. While this additional test is clearly inconvenient, at Caribtours we are pleased that the Barbados government is approaching this in such a pragmatic way.
Covid has meant many changes for all of us over these last 10 months and we are just happy that many of our guests can still travel and look forward to their holidays later this year.
For those of us who love long-haul travel, these new restrictions will be a way of life for a little while until life returns to normal.
Welcome to Our Beautiful World. We look forward to sharing it with you.
