Restaurants And Bars

Banyan Tree’s wonderful restaurants draw on culinary inspiration both local and global. Highlights include the modern Thai cuisine at Saffron, northern Italian fare at the waterside Cello, and mouth-watering Mexican at La Copa, which also has a fine selection of tequilas, mezcals and cigars. Other venues include The Shack, a casual beach club serving cocktails, fresh seafood and light bites, and the atmospheric, Mayan-inspired HAAB, hidden away in the jungle with a menu focused on the Yucatán Peninsula. "‘Elegant, refined and understated’ - these are the words that Coral Reef Club’s many repeat guests use to describe this wonderful family-owned hotel."

"The Thursday night barbecue is out of this world and really shouldn’t be missed - the extraordinary culinary experience is followed by a floor show with limbo dancing and fire eating."

"The cottages here are all named after flowers, fruits and trees found in the hotel’s beautiful gardens - Head Gardener, Lloyd Richards, has worked at the hotel for nearly 30 years and his weekly horticultural tours are a real treat."

"Coral Reef Club is incredibly popular so make sure you book early, especially if you’re planning to visit in February."
