319 rooms and suites showcase light and elegant interiors and offer impressive views of the sea and city skyline towards the Burj Al Arab and Burj Khalifa beyond. All include air-conditioning, a private balcony, lavish marble bathroom, 42” HD satellite TV, complimentary WiFi, iPod docking station, mini bar and tea/coffee making facilities. It’s well worth upgrading to a Premier Room, Premier Suite or Waldorf Astoria Suite for access to the Waldorf Astoria Lounge, where there is a daily complimentary bar, including wine, beer and cocktails, between 5-8 pm; soft drinks and snacks are served throughout the day. All room types can sleep 2 adults & 2 children under 12 yrs and all Suites feature a separate living room, which can be turned into a second bedroom. Up to 2 children sharing with their parents stay free on a half board basis year round, and over the summer months this extends to kids under 16 yrs. There is also a Presidential Suite with two bedrooms, a large balcony, a separate kitchen and dining room.

3 restaurants each have spectacular sunset views and include the world-class gastronomy of Michelin-starred chef Heinz Beck at the hotel’s signature restaurant, Social. Mezzerie is the main restaurant, serving breakfast, lunch and buffet dinner daily, plus a weekly New York-inspired Friday brunch, while LAO specialises in South East Asian cuisine. 3 bars/lounges include the poolside Palm Avenue, with its casual, Mediterranean ambience, the cocktails, fine cigars and live entertainment of Serafina Bar and Peacock Alley, where you can enjoy a classic afternoon tea.

Relax by one of the resort’s 2 temperature controlled pools - a large free-form pool fronting onto the sand great for families and a beautiful infinity pool set slightly further back ideal for adults. A dedicated Watersports Centre offers a variety of activities including paddleboarding, parasailing and waterskiing and there’s a floodlit tennis court with lessons available. Coco’s Kids’ Club (4-12 yrs) offers fun pursuits such as scavenger hunts, puppet shows and face painting, and for the adults, the award-winning 3,200 sq metre Spa includes 50 treatment rooms, hydrotherapy and relaxation rooms.
