Karen Davies's View

OUR Antigua SPECIALIST

"The Verandah is a great choice for families. They offer lots of facilities, so people tend to stay within the resort. For that reason, I wouldn't say that it would suit people looking to explore Antigua, but in terms of value for money, it’s great!"

"The all-inclusive package that they run is very comprehensive, and includes all meals, drinks and water sports. The resort also has a good kids' club, and is perhaps the only Caribbean resort I have come across that has a crazy golf course! I love that, I think it’s a great little feature."

"The hotel was only built about five years ago, so it's quite modern. All of the rooms have great ocean views, and you can choose from a range of cottages, which are dotted across the hillside. The higher you go, the better the view, and the view is stunning, it looks right out over the cove that the resort is set on."

Half Moon

Jamaica

You’ll be following in some very famous royal footsteps when you check in at this iconic hotel - the Queen, Prince Charles and, most recently, Prince Harry have all enjoyed Half Moon’s legendary Jamaican hospitality.

With 400 acres to explore, the best way to get around Half Moon is by bike - the pedal-back brakes take a bit of getting used to but they’re great fun once you’ve got the hang of it.

At over 60 years old, Half Moon might be getting on a bit, but she still likes to look her best - the Sugar Mill Restaurant and lobby area were refurbished last year and the Oleander section of the resort is now receiving a full makeover.
