Accommodation

All 214 rooms face the glorious Indian Ocean and are bright and modern, with splashes of tropical colour. All feature a private balcony or terrace, air conditioning, satellite TV and DVD player, complimentary WiFi, a mini bar, tea/coffee making facilities and a luxurious bathroom with bath and separate shower. Upgrade to a Beach Room for a fabulous location just steps from the sand and an iPod docking station, or for families the Tamassa Family Rooms offer a second bedroom with bunk beds and can accommodate up to 2 adults and 3 children under 18 yrs.

Restaurants And Bars

The main buffet restaurant, Show, features an open kitchen, allowing you to watch as the chefs expertly prepare your meals, whilst the beach restaurant, Playa, offers a more relaxed, al fresco setting, with à la carte dining in the evenings. B-Bar serves lighter fare, with the opportunity to sample a selection of Mauritian rums and deli on the go is an innovative lunch truck for quick bites. Tamassa even has its own brand of ice cream, called ‘ici’, delivered directly to you on retro mobile carts. A different form of entertainment is on offer every evening, along with the Jalsa nightclub 3 times a week.

Includes breakfast at Show restaurant and lunch and dinner at Show or Playa restaurants (some dishes such as lobster may carry an additional charge), afternoon tea between 15:30 to 16:30 at B Bar, drinks including beer, wines, liquors, cocktails, mineral water, soft drinks, juices, tea and coffee, ici ice cream, daily refreshed mini bar including beer, soft drinks, water and juices, watersports including windsurfing, kayaking, snorkelling, waterskiing, glass bottom boat trip, pedal boats and small catamarans, gym, tennis, table tennis volleyball, bocce balls, yoga classes and bicycle excursions.

Facilities

3 main swimming pools mean there is plenty of space for couples and families, and activities on offer include tennis, table tennis, volleyball, pétanques and a fitness centre, and there’s a championship Par 72 golf course close by. An excellent range of watersports include windsurfing, kayaking, snorkelling, waterskiing and diving. At the heart of a landscape garden, wrapped in the soft hues of greens, Santosha Mindful Wellness blends into the surrounding ensuring pure relaxation. The Tam Tam kids’ club for 3-11 yrs offers a range of activities, including art classes, treasure hunts and games, while Studio 17 provides plenty to keep teenagers entertained, with local dance and language classes, beach sports and adventurous excursions.
