The 29 rooms and seven suites are all individually designed, blending antique furnishings with polished wooden floors and classic décor. Each includes air conditioning, a flat screen TV with movies on demand, a mini bar and complimentary WiFi. Luxury bathrooms feature a stand-alone bath and separate shower. We recommend the Beachfront Rooms, on the waterfront with a private terrace or balcony and beautiful bay views; or upgrade to a spacious Suite where you’ll be just a few steps from the sea. Austral Suites have a real home-from-home feel and include a spacious lounge, four poster bed and either a private plunge pool or Jacuzzi.
The hotel’s restaurant, with its beachside terrace and bar, sits just feet from the water’s edge and offers delicious menus prepared daily using freshly-caught fish and local produce. Alternatively, dine in grand style aboard the Lady Lisbeth, the resort’s vintage motorboat, available for lunch or dinner.
The small but excellent spa is nestled at the edge of the pool and features a hammam, a relaxation area and great range of massage and beauty treatments. Think of a watersport and you can almost guarantee you’ll find it here, including diving, sailing, kayaking and even submarine excursions. There’s also a beautiful central swimming pool, a small beach, bicycle hire and a complimentary boat shuttle to Grand Baie to help you explore the superb boutique shops and restaurants there.
