Accommodation

Connecting with the natural surroundings, 136 spacious villas and residences are scattered over the mainland and the resort’s own private island, Île aux Chats. Featuring natural woods, volcanic stone and contemporary décor, the spacious pool villas differ only in outlook and position. Garden and Mangrove Pool Villas have views of the lush tropical vegetation or natural mangroves, while Ocean and Beach Villas have either panoramic ocean/lagoon views or are beachfront. Each spacious villa has a private terrace with plunge pool, generous bathroom with deep soaking bath, indoor rain shower and outdoor waterfall shower, flat screen satellite TV, DVD player, iPod docking station and complimentary WiFi. The beautiful Sanctuary Ocean and Beach Villas, located on the resort’s private island, additionally feature a separate living room with sliding glass doors opening onto a larger pool. The Presidential Suite Sanctuary has three bedrooms, an outdoor dining area, swimming pool, separate living room, kitchen and panoramic ocean and lagoon views. The residences range from two to five bedrooms and include the Deluxe, Premium Deluxe, Grand and Royal Residences; all feature indoor and outdoor living areas and a full kitchen and dining room, so are ideal for larger parties and families.

Restaurants And Bars

Four restaurants and bars will tempt your taste buds with delicious dishes and we particularly like the Italian specialities at Acquapazza, with its terrace overlooking the lagoon, and the Indian, Asian and Mauritian cuisine at Bambou. Beau Champ’s picturesque location, on the water’s edge, open kitchen showcasing grills and steaks cooked to perfection and wine cellar of over 400 bottles, make it a must for a romantic meal, and afterwards head to O-Bar for a cool cocktail or two.

Other facilities include a breathtaking infinity pool, a state-of-the-art fitness centre and two tennis courts. There’s also extensive children’s activities in the Kids for All Seasons Club (4-9 yrs) and the Karokan Young Adults Centre (10 yrs and up). The award-winning spa hovers above the tranquil lagoon and revitalises with a collection of therapies from around the world. You can also enjoy a range of complimentary watersports including kayaking, Hobie Cats and waterskiing, or take the boat shuttle to Four Season’s dedicated beach on Île aux Cerfs island, where the clear, shallow waters are perfect for families.

Fiona's View

OUR Mauritius SPECIALIST

"We particularly like the resort’s secluded ‘quiet beach’, where palm trees fringe the sands, creating the ultimate tropical retreat."

"The spa here is really quite something, set within verdant gardens filled with birdsong. Each treatment cabin has its own changing area for additional privacy, and your treatment music, massage oil, the pressure applied and any particular areas that need work are all chosen by you."

"If you can bring yourself to leave the resort, we recommend heading to the surrounding lush valleys and peaks, excellent for mountain biking, trekking or quad biking, where you will be rewarded with panoramic views over half the island from Domaine de L’Etoile."

Half Moon

Jamaica

You’ll be following in some very famous royal footsteps when you check in at this iconic hotel - the Queen, Prince Charles and, most recently, Prince Harry have all enjoyed Half Moon’s legendary Jamaican hospitality.

With 400 acres to explore, the best way to get around Half Moon is by bike - the pedal-back brakes take a bit of getting used to but they’re great fun once you’ve got the hang of it.

At over 60 years old, Half Moon might be getting on a bit, but she still likes to look her best - the Sugar Mill Restaurant and lobby area were refurbished last year and the Oleander section of the resort is now receiving a full makeover.
