Park Hyatt St Kitts is the first of the prestigious Park Hyatt brand to open in the Caribbean, and it doesn’t disappoint. All 78 rooms and 48 suites are decorated in a characterful and contemporary style, with floor-to-ceiling windows letting in plenty of natural light. Each room and suite features a private balcony or terrace, and many of the suites also have individual pools with private sundecks looking out to the Caribbean Sea and nearby island of Nevis. Bathrooms feature walk-in rain showers and indulgent bathtubs as well as a two-sink vanity. Other facilities include a 50” flat screen TV, air conditioning, mini bar, espresso machine, bathrobes and slippers, and complimentary WiFi. Interconnecting rooms are also available. The Penthouse Suite is located on the top floor of the hotel and offers a separate lounge area, a private swimming pool, sundeck and stunning ocean views. Guests wanting to upgrade to something a little more extravagant can opt for a three-bedroom Presidential Villa which occupies 5,210 sq ft of space, with its own rooftop infinity pool, wellness area/gymnasium and games room, alongside personal butler service, a private chef, and daily poolside cabana access.
The Great House Restaurant is at the centre of the resort and reflects the style of the plantation houses of old. Sumptuous buffet and à la carte breakfasts, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner are served here, alongside spectacular ocean views. The Fisherman’s Village is an ‘oceanto-table’ venue serving up delicious fresh seafood for lunch and dinner, whilst The Stone Barn is a fine dining venue exclusively for adults. The ‘A Night at Home’ experience allows you to dine in the comfort of your room and suite on a selection of comfort foods. Fleming’s is the main hotel bar and there is also the Ramparts Pool Bar, Fanes Beachside Bar and a well-stocked rum bar at The Great House.
The hotel offers direct access to the beach where guests can take part in non-motorised watersports and beach volleyball. There are also two swimming pools (one for adults and one for families) and a well-equipped fitness centre. The Sugar Mill Spa & Sanctuary features nine treatment rooms where guests can enjoy a series of treatments including massage, facials and body treatments. Yoga and meditation sessions are also held here. The Island Fort by Camp Hyatt Children’s Club is for age 3-12 yrs and offers supervised outdoor activities, arts and crafts and storytelling. Beyond the resort, there are mountain trails ideal for hiking, and motorised watersports and golf are located nearby.
