Just back from...Eden Roc Cap Cana June 8, 2022

As my first time to the Dominican Republic, I knew I was completely spoiling myself with my first experience to be spent at Eden Roc Cap Cana. I had admired the property for many years and heard wonderful comments from Caribtours clients, so I was really looking forward my stay at such a renowned resort.

I stayed in a One Bedroom Beachfront Suite which was expansive with stylish beachy décor and one of the most beautiful bathrooms I have seen but the real highlight without a doubt is the beach, which is both private and picture-perfect. There is nothing better than the luxury of staying beachfront and having the sand outside your patio doors. I felt as if I had my own slice of paradise on the beach and took full advantage of it, watching glorious sunrises each moment with a coffee whilst planning the day ahead – bliss!

Knowing that this was a Relais & Chateaux property, I was most looking forward to the food and wine and I was certainly not disappointed. The offering they have is really special for the size of the hotel, the choice is excellent. My favourite was La Palapa by the water where I spent lazy, long launches eating fresh Burrata and Paella accompanied with sommelier recommended wines. I also loved Blue Bar & Grill with such tasty sushi I ordered it again the next day.

Brydie’s top tips

  • I’d recommend requesting a Ground Floor Beachfront Suite if you would like to have a full beach experience
  • For a really special occasion, I’d recommend the private dining experience in their own cenote
